The incumbent Attorney General talks tough on guns, then turns around and supports legislation that allows criminals to keep their guns even after bringing them to a school – or even to the State Capitol! I’ll trade the tough talk for tough action.

As your Attorney General, I will:

  • Aggressively prosecute gun crimes throughout our state.
  • Get ghost guns off the street by enforcing the strongest penalties possible against anyone in possession of an illegal firearm or using a gun to commit crimes.
  • Make sure anyone who brings a gun to a school or government facility illegally loses their right to possess a firearm.

Communities are in chaos, lives are being lost, and children are in danger because politicians want to go soft on criminals who use guns.

The appointed Attorney General voted in favor of AB 3234 three times. Under AB 3234, criminals who bring guns to schools or even to the Capitol can continue to own guns. This law is reckless.

The rise in crime is easily seen in cities like Los Angeles, which has seen a 141% increase in shooting victims. The newly appointed attorney general has consistently advocated for weakening accountability for criminals, especially those who use guns.

I will work tirelessly to get illegal guns off the street and out of the hands of criminals.

Take illegal guns off the streets and out of the hands of felons and prohibited persons
